Staff Writer Hubbard High School strives for the win against Bogan High School at Gately Stadium. It was a cloudy day at Gately Stadium. Bogan started strong by with the score of 0-6 by halftime. With Bogan leading, Hubbard needed motivation. After the halftime break, the Greyhounds stepped into the gridiron listening to the roars of their fellow classmates, wearing red and grey chanting “HUBBARD HUBBARD HUBBARD!” Senior wide receiver Santino Tomas scored Hubbard’s first touchdown, giving Hubbard their first lead of the game at 7-6. Senior running back Reggie Johnson scored the second touchdown giving Hubbard an even better lead of 14-6. Senior defensive tackle Hugo Valencia stated, “It was a good game in our part. They scored on their first play of the game and never passed the 50 yard line until the fourth quarter.” After a long, rainy game, Hubbard made a comeback and won. The final score was 14-6.
