![]() By Nury Gollaz & Passion Ware Tired of eating the same food all of the time? Are you in the mood to try something new? Bernie’s Restaurant is a Mexican-Italian restaurant that just opened 6 months ago on 6643 Cicero Avenue, right next to Dunkin Donuts. Although the restaurant is a bit small, the ambiance is something to look forward to because the decorations and the way the restaurant was set up is welcoming. We were greeted and seated at a table of our choice. Rather than starting off with the traditional tortilla chips, they give you thinly-sliced potato chips as an appetizer. We ordered the Chicken Alfredo and the Rudy Buffalo Chicken sandwich. When we were given our food, the plates looked extremely welcoming. The pasta was deliciously made. Although it was a bit creamy for my taste, the chicken was well incorporated with the dish. On the other hand, I completely fell in love with the Rudy sandwich. It had a perfect balance of spice to it, making you want to go in for seconds. Our service there was well taken care of. Before we finished our drinks, we were asked if we wanted another refill and if we needed anything. We ordered some fruit yogurts to go and our bill came out to be $16.34! That is just unbelievable. Usually, you'll get single pasta for that price! We definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone because they treated us with respect and kindness and made our experience more comfortable. Bernie's is open Monday-Saturday from 8am-8pm and is closed on Sundays. Besides the enjoyable food, Bernie's also provides catering. When the occasion calls for it, they will be more than happy to cater and decorate for your planned events. Furthermore, they deliver and provide discounts to the seniors of Autumn Green. Our experience was pleasant and it was good to know Bernie's has friendly staff and know what is good for our community.
