Staff Writer International Day at Hubbard has always been a big event for many of the different clubs and organizations because it gives them a chance to show off many of the ethnic dances and foods that belong to the culture, and this year’s food did not disappoint. This year, we had many different clubs selling a vivid array of food. Among them were the French Club, the Baseball team selling American food, the Chinese Club, Bachata Club selling Mexican food, Jamaican food, the belly dancers were selling desserts, the African-American club, the Student Organization of Latinos (SOL) selling tacos and churros, and the Muslim Students Association (MSA) was selling Middle Eastern food. The food stands were located in the boy’s gym, and in addition to food many students enjoyed music and dancing. In addition to music and dancing in the gym, the Guitar Club showed off their musical talents with both instruments and free style rapping inside the West Lunchroom during each period. Many students would agree with Mrs. Reyes in saying that this year’s International Day was a tremendous success. Ms. Reyes would like to give a special thanks to those who sponsored a booth or dance. Without you, International Day would not have been a success.
